Scones are possibly one of my all time favourite things to bake. They are actually super easy and of course, super yummy. With this recipe you can really add anything you would like to these scones, I personally make blueberry or raspberry/dark chocolate. Another thing too not is I make them with honey, instead of sugar. If you are wondering why I do this feel free to reference my "going sugar free" post (click here). Now that you're all caught up let's jump to the recipe!

INGREDIENTS

- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 tbsp baking powder

- 1/4 tsp kosher salt

- 7 tbsp unsalted butter, cut into 1 tbsp squares

- 3/4 c heavy cream

- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- 1/4 c honey


DIRECTIONS

- Preheat the oven to 400 F

- Mix flour, salt, and baking powder in a bowl

- Using a pastry blender or a fork, cut in the butter until you have pea-sized chunks

- In a separate bowl combine the heavy cream, honey, vanilla extract and pour into the mixing bowl

- Stir with a wooden spoon until the mixture starts to come together into a ball

- Mix in whatever add-ins you would like (ie. blueberries)

- Once almost shaped a ball, use your hands to knead until completely formed into a smooth ball

- Transfer onto floured surface, slightly flatten ball and cut into 8 triangles

- Bake 10-12 minutes until cooked through with light golden edges
