The Scoop On Papaya Seeds
There is a TikTok rumour going around that eating the seeds of a papaya can clear you of parasites. I don’t know about you but I was highly curious to know if this was another TikTok cap or if it was real. Let me tell you what I think after trying the seeds myself this morning.
What I Found
One word, disgusting. The texture isn't all the bad but the after taste these little seeds leave is not something I ever want to taste again. I'm gonna start by saying that I hate to break it to you, but a lot of things you hear on apps such as TikTok turn out not to be true. However this time it might be, before you get too excited remember I said “might”. It turns out that there was in fact a study done that proved papaya seeds to be affective in riding the body of parasites, eating the dried seeds with honey caused the kids to be rid of them. In case you wanna learn more about that study click this link. That being said we should keep in mind this study was done in a place where parasites are common. I’m not sure where you are reading this from but more likely than not, you are not at risk of having a parasite (it probably isn’t worth it for you to try this trend). If you do still feel inclined to try it out check out the papaya seed vitamins instead, they're probably easier to stomach. As a side note-- Be sure to consulate your doctor before trying a trend like this, just to be safe.
Know that we’ve figured out the seeds, what’re we doing with the rest of the papaya? Popsicles! These are from Goodie Goodie Gluten Free
